How to join my PRE-RECORDED session in PINE (with video walk through)

Pre-recorded sessions 

First, you need to login to the PINE speaker hub. You would have received an email with the subject line “speaker invitation to PINE” 

Please make sure you are registered as an attendee as well.https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/linaro-connect-tech-day-core-technologies-tickets-293117461217 

Check that you can toggle back and forth between attendee app and speaker hub.  (as shown in the video below)

If you do not have the “attendee app” please check that you’ve registered for the event as an attendee. If you have registered and it’s still not showing up it may be that you registered with 2 different email addresses. If so please let me know andI can link the 2 accounts on the admin side. 

Please check all of your sessions are listed and that all of your co-speakers are showing up in the session.

Before your session, please open the Speaker Hub in one tab and the attendee app in another tab

At least 5 minutes before your session you will want to go in and join “backstage” of your session. Then click Join.

Here you will find the Linaro moderator (Kristine) waiting for you. They will make sure you’re online and ready to go 

You have 2 options as a pre-recorded session: you can:

  • A. answer questions via the chat/Q&A tab while your session video plays and when the video ends, you simply log off. 
  • B. you can "Go live" once your video ends (if your pre-recorded video is shorter than your allotted time slot, most are 25 minutes) and answer questions with your mic and video on. 

Let your Linaro moderator know before your session if you plan to "Go live" at the end so they're aware. 

Once your session time has arrived the Linaro moderator will click "Start video".

Unfortunately, from the Backstage area you cannot see your video being played, You can watch the video as it plays from the Attendee side of the app only*

This is why I recommend having the attendee app open in a different tab and you can view/hear your session video as it plays by clicking Virtual Stages and you'll see it live at the top (as shown in the video).

Go back to the backstage and answer questions there. 

Once your video ends, if you go with Option A from above and answer questions during the video - you're done. 

Once your video ends, if you go with Option B - the Linaro moderator will go LIVE from the backstage tab. You will see a countdown 3,2,1 and you're live to answer questions via video/mic. When questions are done the Linaro moderator will stop the stream - it will count down from 10 and then you're done. 

Either option is fine, please just let the Linaro moderator know in the beginning what you plan to do.
