Summary

LDCG is now holding a vote on whether to open the current Big Data work underway in LDCG as an "Open Project". 

This covers work planned under the following JIRA initiatives:  
* Build, Port, Automate CI, Benchmark Big Data Components (LDCG-108)
     https://projects.linaro.org/browse/LDCG-108

* Apache Bigtop Contributions (LDCG-870)
     https://projects.linaro.org/browse/LDCG-870

An open project is one where:
 - Code base is licensed via one or more OSI approved license.
- Project meetings are open.
- These share project plans, discuss code and design issues and so on.   Note that these are technical meetings involving maintainers and engineers.
- Open to interested attendees (without voting rights).
- Minutes and actions are published and openly available.
- Maintain code in fully open repositories, such as github or gitlab.
- Discuss code development, issues, bug fixes and new functionality via fully open email lists, IRC etc.  
- Whatever communication is used, it should be archived and openly available.

Vote 'yes' to agree, 'no' to disagree or 'abstain' to abstain. Missing votes will be treated as abstentions. 
If multiple votes are received with the same email address, the last one will be recorded and override previous votes.  Person will be notified.
