  • Project updates
    • Deploy CCA on Arm Platforms (DCAP)
      • Working to add RME support into SBSA platform emulation in QEMU. Host can now boot an RME-aware kernel. Working on the guest (virt platform) side.
      • CoCo + Kata on RME now can get the token and do the remote-attestation with Trustee remotely.
      • Updated Kata build scripts to cca/v3 branches.
      • Fujitsu reported issues and requested improvements to our documentation. Also reported an issue that is a QEMU bug, unrelated to CCA support. Thanks!
    • System Ready Compliant Platform Collaboration (SRCPC)
      • Proper topology support is now merged into EDK2.
      • Handle L1/L2 cache sizes correctly (sizes were hardcoded before).
      • SMMU support submitted.

        • Community recently added a new feature called Universal SIMD Intrinsics, currently only supported on x86. Working to enable support on AArch64.

      • Built and Deployed Ceph NVMe-oF gateway with SPDK. Assessing its performance now.
  • Endorsement framework for confidential computing presentation, by Arm

    • Q&A
      • Leonardo: I don't see any policies in the proposed design. Is this missing?
        • Paul: Policy is still there with the endorsement service model. It is just not explicitly presented in the model diagram as it focuses on endorsements and reference values.
      • Leonardo: Isn't the "offline" verifier an issue as the policy can change and not be updated timely?
        • Paul: there needs to be some cadence on which the verifier can consume policy from a suitable location.
      • Leonardo: Isn't the policy conveyance problem even more important and urgent than the endorsements? Endorsements are generated less frequently than policies, I suppose.
        • Thomas: Policy may be available in the relying party as well, instead of the verifier, according to the RATS architecture.
  • Host Security ID (HSI) discussions update
    • A sub-workgroup was formed under the SystemArchAC Security workgroup to discuss this topic.
    • They are trying to identify what kind of problem HSI is trying to address, possible use cases for its usage, and what makes sense to query on Arm platforms as security features.
