  • Deploy CCA on Arm Platforms (DCAP)

    • Updates since last meeting:

      • Instructions at Building an RME stack for QEMU#Launching-a-Realm-guest-using-QEMU updated: code repository updated to cca/v8 branch. Still under validation.

      • Device assignment

        • Continued engagement with Arm.

        • Good progress overall on the attestation infrastructure in QEMU and no delays so far. Linaro's work can be tracked from https://linaro.atlassian.net/browse/DCAP-124.

        • Awaiting TF-A and TF-RMM patches from Arm by end of April to proceed with QEMU base support enablement.

      • Planes

        • Paolo Bonzini submitted patches to KVM adding support for planes in all relevant architectures (https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/kvm/list/?series=949026).

      • Kata containers

        • Fixed https://linaro.atlassian.net/browse/DCAP-132.

      • Confidential Containers

        • Integrated Veraison with CoCo as a native verifier.

    • Next tasks:

      • Add support for RME 1.1 new features in the CCA software stack:

        • Device assignment.

        • Memory Encryption.

        • Planes.

      • Kata containers

        • Fix an issue where Kata with QEMU fails to launch an Arm guest (even non-confidential guests) with Kata Runtime-rs.

        • Set up Kata Arm64 runtime-rs testing job.

        • Enable cri-containerd job for Kata Arm64.

      • Standards

        • Continue the work on CCA Token standardization.

        • Endorsement API Workshop confirmed for 13th May.

  • Performance Optimization (PO)

    • Updates since last meeting:

      • Iakov Polyak started on 22nd April.

    • Next tasks:

      • Revisit project priorities (OpenSSL and libXSMM?).

      • Migrate backlog from 2024-09-26 Linaro Data Center Group steering committee Meeting Agenda/Minutes to Jira.

  • Big Data & Data Science (BDDS)

    • Updates since last meeting:

      • Bigtop Manager

        • 1.0 release announced today: https://lists.apache.org/thread/3gfk7c5kwl4n7h8g4f590j27j57tp3z6.

      • Gluten

        • Work currently blocked by Velox patches not accepted.

      • Velox

        • Awaiting community feedback on patches. Meta engineers driving the project are not answering community pings.

    • Next tasks:

      • Bigtop Manager

        • Discuss future roadmap with the community.

        • Integrate Bigtop Manager to openEuler's repository.

      •  Gluten

        • Enablement of Arm64 CI in the community.

        • Performance analysis.

  • Enhanced Software-Defined-Storage on Arm Servers (STOR)

        • Working on patches that improve the performance on Arm64.

  • Open Confidential Computing Conference (OC3): 27 March, 2025, hybrid from Berlin, Germany

    • Thomas Fossati (Linaro) is in the program committee.

    • Linaro and Arm had a joint presentation. Fujitsu also presented (and included a very nice demo on how CCA protects the Realm memory from the host)

    • Very interesting to see the number of talks related to remote attestation (6 in total).
