Settings

Once logged into the Resources Hub, you can go to your Settings page by clicking on your avatar in the top right corner of the page and choosing Settings from the menu.

The page contains three sections:

  • User Settings

  • Participant Profile

  • App Settings

User Settings

If you have logged in with an email address and password, you will be able to change the name associated with your account. This is not editable if you have authenticated with Google or Linaro SSO.

You cannot change your email address, regardless of how you have logged in. It is displayed for information purposes only. If you do need to change your email address, please contact it-support@linaro.org.

Participant Profile

A participant is a person who has helped deliver a session video or contributed to a slide deck.

If your logged-in email address matches the email address of a participant on the Hub, you will see two buttons:

Clicking on Edit Participant Profile will take you to a page where you can change:

  • Your name, e.g. if you want to include a nickname

  • Your email address - not advisable unless you have a Hub account with the new email address as well

  • Job title

  • Bio

  • GitHub account

  • LinkedIn account

  • Twitter handle

  • Profile image

The Hub will be able to fetch your profile image from Gravatar if you have one there, or an image of your initials if you don’t have an image on Gravatar. This is only used if you have not uploaded a profile image. If you have uploaded a profile image and want to delete it, a Delete Image button will be visible. If that button is not visible, you have not uploaded an image.

Your email address is never shared with anyone. It is only used to retrieve a Gravatar image (if you don’t provide an image) and to link to your Resources Hub account.

Clicking on View Participant will take you to a page that displays all of the resources that have you included as a participant. If you’ve entered a bio, that will be displayed under the About tab. If you’ve entered a GitHub account, LinkedIn account and/or Twitter handle, the corresponding icons will be displayed so that a user clicking on them will be taking to the appropriate web page.

If, however, your logged-in email address does not match the email address of a participant on the Hub, you will see this:

If you have been involved in a session that is on the Hub, please email it-support@linaro.org with the details.

App Settings

From here, you can change the desired language used by the Hub and whether it displays in Dark mode or Light mode.
