Thank you for participating in the Virtual Demo Showcase at Linaro Virtual Connect 2021 Fall! 


Basic information 

LVC21Event Dates

The event runs for 3 days from Wednesday September 8 through Friday September 10, 2021

The Virtual Demo Day runs on Thursday September 9 once sessions have finished for the day beginning at 12:00 UTC and ending at 14:00 UTC.

Event Registration 

Registration is open. Please register as an attendee: https://connect.linaro.org/register 

The event is free and open to anyone to join feel free to share registration link with colleagues or anyone interested. 

All registered attendees can join the virtual demo day. You must be registered for Connect to access the demo day via PINE.

Demo Videos

Demo videos are due by Friday September 3. 

Please email us your session video either by sharing via Google Drive or sending via file sharing like dropbox, etc. whatever you prefer. 


Demo Poster

Each demo has a poster that is the cover poster for the Demo Exhibition Hall. (Screenrecording video below of an example setup of the exhibition hall).

Software

The software we're using for the demo day is called party.space. It links directly with the event platform for LVC21F (PINE).

It will be added to the left hand menu of the PINE event platform "Virtual Demo Day" Thursday Sept 9 12:00 UTC. 

Leading up to Demo Day we will be promoting the event for all attendees to join. The demo site will be finalized by Tuesday, September 7. I will send you a sneak peak of the space before it opens to all attendees on September 9.

How it will work:

Once attendees are able to enter the platform, they will walk into the Main hall. On the main screen (in the above video) the demo videos will be played on a loop (each demo video one after the other).

Each of the table in the main hall will be branded with your company logo. Representatives from each company should stay near your designated table.

Attendees can walk up to your table and request to talk to you via mic/video or chat. 

Attendees can also view each demo video by walking into the Demo Exhibition Hall - a room to the left of the main hall. This is the room with each demo poster where the attendee can select which video to watch.

System Requirements for PINE, please check: 

Recommended requirements for comfortable use of the PINE platform:

  • Internet connection: 10MB (min 5MB)
  • Browser: the latest version (Google Chrome is most stable)
  • OS: Win10 is recommended, Mac OS 10.10 (minimum Quad-Core)
  • RAM: 8GB (min 4GB)
  • Web Camera: capable to record video in 720p
  • Microphone: external on camera or a headset (built-in is not recommended)

For better and stable work we advise you not to run other video-related applications or other heavy applications. Please close unrelated tabs.


Demo Videos added to Resource page and promoted on Social Media

Demo videos will add to our Resource page with the other session videos from LVC21F. These may also be shared on Linaro social media channels. 

We make these available for those who are not able to attend the Virtual Demo Day live.
