AMD x86 + ARM PCIe based AMP Demo

AMD x86 + ARM PCIe based AMP Demo

The AMD PCIe based AMP demo runs on various flavors of AMD’s Embedded+ architecture that combines an AMD x86-64 processor with an Arm64 based Versal SOC w/ FPGA. The two systems are connected via PCIe with the x86-64 being the root-complex (RC, aka host) and the Versal being the end-point (EP, aka card).

Initially the demo is using a two board solution:

  • Sapphire IPC-FP6 AMD Ryzen™ Embedded V2000 w/ 8 x86-64 dual threaded cores

  • AMD VEK280 Versal evaluation board (2x A72 + 2x R5 + FPGA)

The demo will also be ported to true Embedded+ boards like the Sapphire Edge+ VPR-4616 and similar boards.
