Mark-PK Tsai introduced himself and MediaTek’s interest. They are from the automotive virtualization team and interested in virtio-msg. They are working with some hypervisor vendors and automotive tier 1s.
Arve introduced himself. Already active on virtio-msg with Arm but looking at this meeting also. He wants to make sure that we are all targeting a common standard
Alex: Asked Edgar if he would rebase / squash his QEMU virtio-msg work for potential up streaming
Not really ready for that
Edgar: Asked Alex about EL3 Split accelerator (EL1 and EL0 in KVM, EL3 EL2 in TCG)
Alex: some discusion on that work is happening on that but it is still private and uncommitted
Bill: HVAC home page is now public. Intro decription and and Intro slides are on the home page
Bill & Lei talked about the status of the Trusty-virtio project pages. Lei took action to work the issue.
Lei gave an update on Virtio-Trustry project
Edgar presented his QEMU work to do virtio-msg between two AMP systems connected via PCIe to this wider audience. His slides are attached at the top of the page.

Action Update
1st kernel intersection
@Viresh Kumar has a prototype of kernel level virtio-msg talking via io-req (via Xen) to a vhost-user based device model (in rust). This was a reuse of work that already existed and Viresh was already familiar with. This is a stepping stone to allow Viresh to focus on the common part of virtio-msg in the kernel. This work implements the same virtio-msg to virtio-msg-bus interface abstraction that Edgar did in the QEMU work. Aligiing this interface with the spec or vise-versa will be worked out later. (Viresh has 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of business travel in September so we are getting this hand off as soon as possible.)
@Lei Zhou is checking out the FF-A direct message interface in prep for the mid September intersection with Trusty TEE than will implement device side of VSOCK. Virtio-msg-bus-ffa will proceed from that point.
@Bill Mills will look at kernel side of virtio-msg-bus-amp (based on Viresh’s work) with target by end of September for initial inter-working with Edgar’s QEMU branch
AMP Mailbox format: @Bill Mills and @Edgar Iglesias had discussion on AMP mailbox format. Both have additional prototype work to do before any decision is made.
@Lei Zhou has done work with Google on making the Trusty-virtio project portal public
No update/change on HVAC Demo1 and Demo2

Bertram has done work to allow FFA in-direct message to work between Xen VMs. This already works for him but he wishes to rebase to latest Xen before he shares publicly. ETA sometime the week of September 2nd.
