2.12-rc0 release has some issues

444 unit test failures - segfaults looks to be involving protobuf In some way - found in old container, but not the new

should have wheels by end of the day

explored versions of protobuf, doesn’t appear to have any effect, bisection points at the update of protobuf

github runners for AWS failed, need more runners enabled - queue is 19 hours behind

hopefully addressed tomorrow if not Tom suggested we contact Sunita

focusing on model zoo and latest release, working towards a report to Google on performance, improvement model zoo benchmarking, will look at upstream failing unit tests.

AWS N1, V1s is the hardware
