Asia TZ Call
ILP32
ARM is ending its 2 year maintenance of this project and is requesting a opinion poll from members on further investment in engineering.
In staging in kernel but will be deleted without further development
has been relatively stable over the last year
OpenSUSE has a complete distro built against ILP32 that some members are using
Use cases are mainly legacy code that for some reasons isnt possible to port to arm64 (ie assumptions about 32bit points etc).
Socionext: has no interest ILP32
Fujitsu: Has no opinion on ILP32.

Graeme summarised Asia TZ Call
Marvell requested information on current and expected resource, Andy thinks its 2 full time currently around RCX release cycles with gaps between and expected to need to continue at this level, he will confirm.
Andy is going to check if there are any development resources needed for new architecture enhancements.
Graeme pointed out to ever get upstream they are going to need some solid public users.
Jon asked is there perhaps some depts of ARM or other members relying on this that we currently do not know (Andy to check inside ARM).
Telco space is the current know user.
Jon says if this goes ahead it needs to be shared over members as everyone benefits.
Jon also thinks this is not likely to go upstream.
Graeme stated that if its not targeted at upstream that is dificult for Linaro as we are un upstream company.
AOB
Huawei situation, Jon made clear that RH cannot work on any project that may only benefit Huawei in long run, there must be other users, this affects ILP32 and CCIX
Jon asked about the effect on POR from current turmoil of Huawei situation (and other factors)
Graeme replied that with the new process we are almost ready to start planning the San Diego → Spring 2020 Connect cycle with hard planning beginning 6 weeks before Connect but soft planning can start now.
Jon asked for updated POR slides for current cycle
Jon pointed out he thinks we should concentrate on tasks with high interest and that have resources.
Marvell: has strong interest in ILP32
Redhat: has no interest in ILP32
