  • Strategy and direction summary (with project status update):

    • The Linaro Data Center Group primary goal is to advance the Arm server technology.

    • Main challenges, how to address them, and projects we are focusing on:

      • Make sure may data is secure always and everywhere.

        • Confidential computing and secure virtual machines.

          • Confidential Compute Architecture (CCA) and Realm Management Extension (RME) support in the kernel and in emulated environments.

          • S-EL2.

          • OP-TEE enhancements.

        • Encryption for data at rest and data in transit.

        • Verification and attestation of software

      • Be able to seamlessly run my software stack everywhere.

        • Standards

          • SystemReady SR

            • Solidify QEMU as the reference open source platform.

              • Core PCIe functionality has been added.

          • Server Base Manageability Requirements (SBMR)

            • Make OpenBMC compliant with SMBR 2. Moved to back log for now.

        • Arm64 performance is lower than x86.

        • Early investigations.

      • No further updates will be made in this meeting.

      • Ongoing discussions about whether this project will continue as a directed project or not.

      • BigTop 3.2 released. Ambari is now part of BigTop.

      • No further updates will be made in this meeting.

    • LED

      • In practice, this is dead.

      • Last update on August 2022.

      • @Leonardo Garcia (Deactivated) proposes a vote to shut down the page because:

        • No member is really interested and putting effort on it.

        • Maintaining this kind of web site does not fit well with Linaro's expertise.

        • More important: out dated information make us look bad in the community.

• CCA public meeting (Leonardo)

  • First meeting happened on 10 February.

• OP-TEE public meeting (Leonardo)

  • Kick-off meeting happened on 14 February.

  • Next discussions will happen in Linaro OP-TEE Contributions (LOC) public meetings. Next one will happen on 28 February.

• MySQL and MariaDB public meetings (Leonardo)

  • Various companies have been working in isolated form on MySQL and MariaDB to fix issues (mainly performance issues) they are seeing on Arm. There is little communication between this companies.

  •  @Leonardo Garcia (Deactivated) still needs to set this up.
