Minutes Asia TZ call

  • Platform Server Architecture
      • KangKang:  SBSA will bring changes UEFI license model - EDKII will be developed discuss internally.  How our EDKII maintenance will.
        • KangKang says he will contribute two engineers with a STABLE label
        • Jon:  Let’s analyze what this translates to.    What we should do?
        • AI:  sub-team (Jon, KangKang)  to figure it out.
      • CCIX:  Ma Xiaorui
        • CCIX board meeting is coming up
        • KangKang requests a status update prior to May 1st
        • Report is due May 2nd
        • Huawei request Linaro China contact Huawei China employees
      • Emulation:
        • KangKang has interest in emulation and will discuss further in future.
    • Software Define Infrastructure:
      • Openstack
        • Jon
          • Interested in both Openstack and Kubernetes.
          • Red Hat has a very large Openstack team.  Potentially a good partnership.
          • Red Hat does all the builds for Arm, but doesn’t ship these.
          • AI:  Jon to speak with teams internally and follow-up.

      • OpenBMC:  Community effort has moved on
      • Larry:  Does Leif need hardware?  Yes
    • Software Define Infrastructure:
      • Kubernetes:  Jon says all are looking at Kubernetes
      • Jon says Openstack is still very relevant - RDO
        • Customer interest is variable. Running a cloud on prem is based on public clouds.  
        • RHEV
      • Larry is not getting customer traction on Openstack
      • AI:  Meet as a small WG
