Topic: Taxonomy

#260 Proposal for amending taxonomy with pack data sheet
While we render information for devices and boards from pack description files, we don’t really do that for packs and especially their software content

Issues highlighted for review:

Discussion #257 - taxonomy discussion may lead to major change (decoupling of classification and identification) - would it be the right time to migrate from pdsc files in xml to yaml format? Main argument being consistency in Open-CMSIS-Pack and “readability” of file content

#685 clarified that at this point we are not aware of a way to instruct CMake to collect multiple modules with identical command line options to be compiled in a single invocation of the compiler. Daniel is going to check this with IAR.

#1139 meeting scheduled with IAR to review the request to bundle build-types “Debug” and “Release” into single cmakelists.txt

PR #1143 got reviewed - awaiting documentation of the algorithm from STMicroelectronics
